About
About MeI’m just too curious
I have been writing code for over fifteen years, and honestly, the thing that kept me going all this time is plain curiosity. I spend a probably unreasonable amount of time on tech watch — reading blog posts, digging into new runtimes, trying out frameworks on side projects just to see how they feel. I genuinely enjoy figuring out what the right tool is for a given problem, rather than reaching for whatever happens to be trending. Assembling the best possible stack for the job is one of my favorite parts of the work.
Building across the full stack
I am a fullstack engineer, and I mean it in the broad sense — I like getting my hands into all the layers. APIs, databases, infrastructure, frontend, CI pipelines… I would rather understand the whole system than stay in one corner of it. I care about writing code that is straightforward to read and easy to change later, because I have been on the other side of that enough times to know the difference it makes.
With Open source
I did not start writing code for open source project right away, it’s a weird relationship to build for OSS, first we use open-source, and one day we start contributing to it when we finally feel confident enough. Then we start writing code that we need and we share it with the community, and that’s how I got into it.
But, is it all ?
When I step away from the keyboard, I go to another one, the piano — mostly jazz, for over twenty-five years now. I am also a lifelong gamer who is slowly learning to draw, with the quiet dream of building my own sci-fi game someday. I also love to travel, don’t count on me to plan each steps of the trip, though.
